MIX’S History in St. John’s

MIX is one of Canada’s very few remaining, iconic flatiron buildings with a long history of helping to define St. John’s skyline. Previously the home of the Newfoundland Telephone Company, 345 Duckworth Street has been redeveloped into a high-end residential and commercial building in the heart of the city’s downtown.

The original structure was in need of repair, but we saw the potential in its great “bones”, historical importance and outstanding location. The redevelopment began in 2015 and includes the addition of three additional floors, a new 17,000 sf wing in the west and a complete interior redesign.

MIX is now home to beautiful, modern apartments where residents are enjoying the perfect “MIX” of stunning views, outstanding amenities and an urban lifestyle in a vibrant neighborhood!  Residents are also enjoying the convenience of having onsite amenities in their very own building – Gingergrass Thai & Vietnamese Restaurant and Cork’d Wine Bar + Lounge.

MIX brings a new chapter for housing options in downtown St. John’s. The building appeals to residents wanting to live an urban lifestyle in a modern apartment in the heart of the city.  It’s the ideal location for professionals working nearby, people relocating to the city or for those who wish to downsize and live a more urban lifestyle. Residents love living just steps from award-winning restaurants, the waterfront, upscale shops as well as entertainment and cultural venues.
